This is NOT 5/8x11 is the typical thread size on North American polishers, ex) Makita, Dewalt, typical angle grinder etc.  M14's are rarer, normally found on EU spec polishers. 

Note: Only 5" is flexible/soft edge, 1~3" no soft edge.
